About the award
Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, launched the Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work on December 5, 2021, during the celebration of the Day. The International Volunteer Council, with the aim of stimulating the efforts of individuals and institutions and promoting the culture of distinguished volunteer work to serve society, His Highness directed towards building a national award specialized in volunteer work, and honoring individuals and institutions that advance the process of sustainable community development and carry out their moral responsibility in building society. The award is based on four main axes and has principles, categories and levels, concerned with consolidating the culture of community volunteer work. Perhaps the launch of the Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Volunteer Work will contribute to spreading awareness among citizens through terms and concepts that focus on outstanding volunteer work and emphasize the individual’s organized ability and the importance of his role. Effective in achieving societal well-being, and working to spread success stories in the field of volunteer work, using various modern and traditional technical means, and deepening the desired sense of national belonging.
