Donate 100,000 dinars to establish a civil defense center in Aqaba Industrial City

His Excellency, the Governor of Aqaba, Khaled Al-Hajjaj, received a financial donation of 100 thousand dinars from the Jordanian General Company for Silos and Supply, to establish a specialized civil defense center in the industrial zone, south of the city of Aqaba.

During his receipt of the donation from the Director General of the Silos Company. Eng.Emad Al-Tarawneh, and in the presence of Brigadier General Talal Al-Adwan, Commander of the Southern Military Region, and Colonel Issa Al-Zaghaibeh, Director of Aqaba Civil Defense and Deputy Director of Aqaba Police, Colonel Maan Al-Oudat, stressed the importance of the center in maintaining the security system for industrial companies in The south of Aqaba city, through the presence of an advanced civil defense center that supervises the application of public safety procedures within the facilities and companies, to reduce the risks that may occur during work and to face any emergency that occurs in the factories operating in the region.

And he indicated that the center, which will be built on an area of 3,900 square meters, at an estimated cost of 5 million dinars, will be specialized in accidents that occur in the southern industrial zone, and one of its duties is to supervise emergency plans in industrial facilities, and it will include specialized and trained staff at the highest levels to deal with hazardous materials.

He appreciated the donation of the industrial companies operating in the region, pointing out that the establishment of the center will enhance the security system in those companies. It was noted that the center will be a link between the security authorities, industrial companies and the Aqaba Authority.
