Jordan's General Company for Silos and Supply is considered the most distinguished in maintaining the integrity of the stock, following modern scientific methods of storage, providing public safety requirements, and enjoying security and protection.

Since the storage of wheat and barley and the production of flour are considered strategically important materials that directly affect food security, the company pays the utmost attention to apply quality standards of storage, preservation and handling by equipping silos, mill and dry and refrigerated warehouses to maintain stock, and conducting continuous checks to keep the stock on the required specifications and to preserve it from insect infections and ensure its suitability for human and animal consumption.

Jordan's General Company for Silos and Supply has four complexes located in Juwaida, Rusaifa, North and Aqaba, through these complexes the company provides the following storage services:

  1. Storage of basic materials (wheat and barley) in silos:

    The General Company for Silos and Supply is the main warehouse in Jordan for wheat and barley, where the maximum cumulative storage capacity of these two materials in the company is (270100000) tons per year, and an actual storage capacity with (90%) of the maximum capacity, equivalent to (243090000) tons per year.

  2. Storage in dry and refrigerated warehouses:

    The company stores dry foodstuffs (bagged and canned) in sixteen dry materials warehouses (hangar) with a total annual storage capacity of (16,019,850) square meters in which bags, canned goods and other items are stored for the Ministry of Industry and Trade in addition to the private sector.

    Refrigerated materials are stored in their refrigerated warehouses (refrigerators) in twenty-two refrigerated storage rooms with a total annual storage capacity of (4,197,500) tons in which refrigerated and frozen materials are stored in refrigerators for the private sector.

In order to do so, the company seeks to continue to improve storage conditions in dry warehouses and refrigerators in a way that meets the needs of the local market, provides the best storage and handling conditions and maintains the safety of inventory and the local environment.
