As part of its annual program of simulation exercises and emergency response drills, the General Silos and Supply Company conducted a field exercise on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Aqaba silos complex, in coordination with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and with the participation of representatives from the Civil Defense.

 

The exercise aimed to test the efficiency of rapid response teams and assess the level of coordination among relevant authorities to ensure the safety of workers in the area and enhance environmental protection. The exercise scenario involved the evacuation of employees due to gas emissions from adjacent industrial sites. Thirty-eight employees participated, adhering to all public safety procedures and the approved evacuation plan.

 

The General Silos and Supply Company achieved an excellent rating of 93 out of 100 during the exercise, reflecting its high level of preparedness and the efficiency of its staff in handling emergencies. The Jordan Silos and Supply General Company affirms that these exercises are a fundamental part of its unwavering commitment to enhancing the readiness of its operational teams and strengthening coordination with relevant national authorities, thereby ensuring the highest levels of employee safety and environmental protection in the Aqaba region.
