The Parliamentary Finance Committee Discusses the 2026 Budget for the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and the General Company for Silos and Supply

The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives, chaired by Representative Dr. Nimer Al-Sulaihat, discussed on Tuesday the draft general budget law for the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and its affiliated institutions for 2026, including the budget items for the General Company for Silos and Supply.

During the meeting, the Director General of the company provided detailed explanations regarding the company's future plan and its pivotal role in maintaining the strategic grain reserves, as it is one of the supporting arms of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply in enhancing national food security. All inquiries raised by the Finance Committee regarding the budget items and work programs were addressed.

These discussions are part of the Finance Committee's efforts to review sectoral spending priorities and support national institutions that contribute to strengthening the food security system and the sustainability of the Kingdom's strategic reserves.
