Jordan Silos and Supply General Company, a guest on the Public Security Radio: From Grain to Loaf... Jordan's Silos at the Heart of National Food Security
The Public Security Radio hosted the Director General of the Jordan Silos and Supply General Company, Engineer Imam Ali Tarawneh, in a special episode that highlighted the company's pivotal role in achieving food security for the Kingdom.
During the meeting, Tarawneh reviewed the most prominent milestones in the company's history since its founding, emphasizing its position as a strategic arm of the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply, and the silent guardian of Jordanian wheat in the face of global crises.
The discussion addressed the mechanism for managing the network of silos spread across the Kingdom's governorates, the mechanisms for unloading and storing grain in Aqaba, and the role of the Juweideh Mill in producing and distributing flour according to the highest quality standards. The meeting also addressed the company's diverse services, such as refrigerated and dry storage, handling, and precision weighing, in addition to its ongoing efforts to support the public and private sectors and provide essential commodities at stable prices. Al-Tarawneh concluded his remarks by reviewing the company's expansion plan, including projects to enhance storage capacity and digital transformation, in line with His Majesty the King's vision to make Jordan a regional center for food security.
